Entrepreneurial Behavior and Mindset
This course introduces the fundamentals of
entrepreneurship that deals with the role of entrepreneurship in economic
development. Topics on Filipino
entrepreneurial economy, entrepreneurial motivation, government assistance and
programs for entrepreneurs, development and growth theories and applications
are included. Relevant topic such as
business concepts and models, social responsibility, franchising as well as
e-commerce in the Philippine setting shall also be discussed.
Production and Operations Management (TQM)_2022-2023
This course deals
with the Total Management of the firm, its nature, essentials, standards of
excellence, Deming’s 14 points for management, principles of customer-supplier relationship, quality teamwork and leadership, strategic management,
and total quality implementation, building commitment, and measuring efforts,
TQM and Filipino Values, attitudes and behavior, and the role of Filipino
Values in quality control.
MARKET RESEARCH AND CONSUMER BEHAVIOR-magsino
This course is a scientific approach to decision making in marketing. It combines two vital aspects of the field of marketing which is topics include cost and value information, product testing, consumer data bases, research designs, sampling techniques, data gathering techniques, creative data interpretation, simulation and implementation of actual research findings. This is used more and more every day in the field of marketing. Its about asking customers for their opinions in a structured way to produce hard facts and statistics to guide marketers and executives in their decision making.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AND TRADE - BSE 3A
This course provides an overview of the environment, concepts, and basic differences involved in international business. Topics include forms of foreign involvement, international trade theory, governmental influences on trade and strategies, international organizations, multinational corporations, personnel management, and international marketing. Upon completion, students should be able to describe the foundation of international business.
ENTREPRENEURIAL MARKETING STRATEGIES-magsino
This course is about the
marketing challenges in an entrepreneurial firm. Entrepreneurship is the
discovery, enactment and pursuit of new business opportunities. Successful
execution of an entrepreneurial idea requires a sound marketing plan. In this
course, students will be able to investigate how marketing tools can enable
entrepreneurs to realize the full potential of their ideas.
BUSINESS PLAN IMPLEMENTATION-2
These two courses which are
five (5) units each are designed to encourage and allow the students to
actually implement the business plan they produced in their third year. The students are expected to set up project
as a business activity where actual revenue generation can be realized
The Contemporary World AY 2022-Magsino
This
course introduces students to the contemporary world by examining the
multifaceted phenomenon of globalization. Using the various disciplines of the social
sciences, it examines the economic, social, political, technological, and other
transformations that have created an increasing awareness of the
interconnectedness of peoples and places around the globe. To this end, the
course provides an overview of the various debates in global governance,
development, and sustainability. Beyond exposing the student to the world
outside the Philippines, it seeks to inculcate a sense of global citizenship
and global ethical responsibility.
MICROECONOMICS
The course covers the basic principles of Microeconomics for Commerce students. The course introduces the students to the economics of the firm and how resource is allocated by individual decision making units. In particular, the course expounds on the basic microeconomic theories governing the concepts of demand and supply; production theory; costs, and pricing and output determination.
E-COMMERCE FOR BS ENTREP 3-A
This course aims to teach the students the basics of conducting business and commerce using the internet facilities and network. It introduces students to the tools and systems and skill needed to enable them to conduct electronic business and commerce.
Fundamentals of Accounting
Fundamentals of Accounting. Accounting is the procedure of data entry and recording, summarizing, analyzing, and then reporting. This data relates to financial transactions of businesses and corporations. Operations of a business entity over an accounting period, generally a year, are keys to prepare financial statements. This subject is intended for the first year students who are enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship. This will be the basic foundation of the future entrepreneurs in regards with accounting matters. At the end of this course, the students will be able to make financial reports and interpret it.
BUSINESS ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT - BSE 1A
This course is designed to familiarize the students with the basic concepts, principles, and processes related to business organization, and the functional areas of management. Particular emphasis will be given to the study of management functions like planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, and orient the students on the importance of these functions and the role of each area in entrepreneurship.
