Accounting Information System - DLD
The course encompasses the development and
distribution of economic information about organizations for internal and
external decision-making. Major themes include objectives and procedures of
internal control, the database approach to data management, data modelling,
typical business documents and reports and proper system documentation through
data flow diagrams and flowcharts.

Accounting Research Methods
The goal of this
course is for the students to develop the ability to conduct empirical research
on the role of accounting information in the firm (i.e., contracting and
corporate governance), to know how managers choose to exercise their discretion
to implement their firms’ financial accounting, reporting, and disclosure
strategies. Through this course, the students will develop an understanding of
the economic, finance, and accounting theory that underlies empirical
accounting research.

This course introduces the key concepts, tools, and principles of
strategy formulation and competitive analysis. It is concerned with managerial
decisions and actions that affect the performance and survival of business
enterprises. The course is focused on the information, analyses, organizational
processes, and skills and business judgment managers must use to devise
strategies, position their businesses, define firm boundaries and maximize
long-term profits in the face of uncertainty and competition.

ACCOUNTING INTERNSHIP - BSMA 4B
This course provide students with a practical accounting working environment which is essential for a more complete understanding of the application of accounting theories, concepts, and procedures.
On-the-job training in position related to the accounting field. This experience increases students’ skills, prepares them for initial employment, and increases occupational awareness and professionalism. Students work a minimum of ninety hours at an approved site and attend scheduled one-hour seminars

HUMAN BEHAVIOR IN ORGANIZATION - BSMA 3A
The course introduces the students to the factors affecting the behavior of individuals and groups in organization focusing on the specific factors that tend to explain behavior of individuals, groups, and organizations. Various theories and models of organizational behavior, work group behavior, motivation in life and work, and human relations among others are discussed and related to organizational practices and phenomena.
