
INTRODUCTION TO AFA
The course introduces the exploratory aspects of
Fishery Arts. It explains different areas namely, fish morphology, fish
culture, fish capture, and fish preservation. Discussion includes fishery as
business and technical terms encountered in the study of the fishery.

INTRO TO INDUSTRIAL ARTS
This course features the fabrication of objects in wood or metal using a variety of hand, power, or machine tools. It may include small engine repair and automobile maintenance and all programs usually cover technical drawing as part of the curricula.

The Andragogy of Learning
Philosophies, theories, and legal bases of special and inclusive education, typical and atypical development of children, learning characteristics of students with special educational needs and practices in the continuum of special inclusive education.

The Teaching Profession
This course deals with the teacher as a person and as a professional within the context of national teacher standards and other global teachers’ standards, professional and ethical values, awareness of professional rights, privileges, and responsibilities as well as their roles in the society.

Field Study 4-6
This course is the continuation of Field Study 1. It is school based and allows a pre-service student to participate and assist in limited actual teaching-learning activities that relate to assessment of learning, preparation of instructional materials, preparation of the bulletin boards, and other routines in the classroom. A portfolio which will contain sample lesson or learning plans and demonstration teaching of at least one content subject area will be required. An action research will be encouraged to start in this course and conclude during the internship.

Technology of teaching and Learning 2
Technology for
Teaching and Learning is a 3 unit course
which will focus on the application , design, production,utilization,and
evaluation for information and
Communications Technology (ICT) materials for teaching and
learning in Secondary Language (
English and Filipino) Education Programs. The major requirement for this course
is an ICT integrated and Project-based Learning Plan aligned to the K to 12
curriculum. All the learning activities
and course requirements will revolve
around the student - teacher developed learning plan.

Basic Electronics Technology - ETRO01
It
deals with the basic electrical laws and theorems, operations and testing of
various electronic components, deirected toward the construction and repair of
electronic circuit and operation utilization and testing of instrument.

SMJL Field Study 2
Field Study 2 is the second in a series of six related field study courses. It is focused primarily on observing the teacher’s application of the teaching theories and principles and his/her classroom management skills in the learning environment. It has special reference to aspects such as creating a conducive teaching-learning atmosphere, observing a child friendly school environment, discipline, use and care of supplies and reference materials, the physical features of the classroom and, general housekeeping. |

SMJL Field Study 1
Field Study 1 will introduce student observers to the learner’s behavior in the different phases of development, school environment and the school community. It offers them opportunities and prospects for career development as they observe the school structure, the classrooms, the school facilities, the teachers, the parents, and the students. This observation course provides them avenues to enhance their communication skills as they exchange ideas with their buddy, with the cooperating teachers, with pupils, and with parents. This observation includes the way teachers interact with each other, with students, with parents, and other stakeholders. |
